202601 Weekly review
Jessica
When I learned with Jessica last weekend, leaned a new useful term:
Competitive Edge or Competitive Advantage.
I think I can recognize this term next time when I see it again.
Will
There are two sentences I want to remember:
My biggest distraction currently is the process of renewing my residency in Japan
I don’t mention this often, but I believe I have done very well compared to my peers from my hometown
peers from my hometown is a useful collocation.
Homework
Will mentioned that he would like to hear my opinion about AI usage in daily life when he heard I never use AI tools in my daily life.
Specifically, I use AI tools in my daily life. I reviewed my chat history with AI tools, except for work-related usage, I also used AI tools for some specific domains usages, like:
- Use AI tools to help me promote my English learning, like generating exercises, correcting my writing.
- Ask and analyze some news and build a map of the event that I don’t familiar with. For example, I asked AI what happened exactly in Japan politics recently, and try to understand the background.
- Mostly, I ask AI tools to help me understand financial concepts and make an investment plans based on my risk tolerance. I often ask AI what if AI prosperity is a bubble like 2000s dotcom bubble, how to limit loss in that case.
So I do use AI in my daily life. The reason I said I never use AI in my daily life at the first time is that :
- My daily work is partly AI related, I’m sure I don’t use AI tools in my daily work like MCP and other advanced AI usage, subconsciously I think only those advanced AI usage is the real AI usage.
